Pharrell Williams has debuted his new skincare line, Humanrace, a three-step system for all skin types, colors and genders. Developed in collaboration with Pharrell’s dermatologist of 20 years, Elena Jones (who deserves an award for the musician’s seemingly ageless face), the collection consists of a cleanser, exfoliator and moisturizer. Packaged in minimal green tubes, the products look sleek on a countertop or in a medicine cabinet. Embossed with braille lettering, they’re function and accessible, too. Packaging was also developed with sustainability in mind — made of 50 percent recycled plastic, each component is refillable.

The collection’s Rice Powder Cleanser, Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator and Humidifying Cream comprise what Pharrell calls “The Three-Minute Facial.” Formulated without harsh additions such as rocks, nuts, seeds or plastic particles, common additives in exfoliators, the range is safe for sensitive skin. Pharrell and Dr. Jones also adhered to Europe’s stringent, 1,300-long list of banned ingredients.

“This routine is formulated from Pharrell’s skincare experience and we wanted to choose ingredients that are clean, effective and friendly for all skin types,” Dr. Jones said. Pharrell summed up the line in a brief statement: “Humanrace Skincare doesn’t differentiate by race or gender. We’re creating for humans; we are all born in the same skin and Humanrace celebrates this.”

Pharrell’s Humanrace Skincare ranges from $32 to $48 USD and is available for purchase here on the Humanrace website.
